Sophomore’s Dylan rendition wins Milford High Talent Show

Feb. 20 was an exhilarating night for sophomore Riley Mason. When Milford High school hosted the annual Talent Show put together by the National Honor Society, the students and parents were blown away by Mason’s outstanding stage presence and raw talent. A variety of brilliant and skillful acts made the judges rather ambivalent when deciding on the winners. The judges were Jennifer Erdody, music teacher; Eric Thibault, math teacher; Anna Parker, social studies teacher; and two students, junior Jack Nichols and senior Nick Simo. Although the decision was close, Mason touched the hearts of the judges with her pure voice and natural musical finesse when she performed her rendition of “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” by Bob Dylan. “I was brought up listening to old classics like The Beatles, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan, so picking this song was really easy,” Mason said.
