Conversational sign language class offered in Nashua

NASHUA – American Sign Language is quickly becoming a recognized international language and is being taught in some school systems as an alternative method of communication. An introductory class on the basics of sign language will begin Thursday, March 7, at the Adult Learning Center. The six-week class focuses on basic signing techniques and interpretation, as well as on deaf cultural awareness. The cost is $90, plus a book fee. A continuation of Introduction to Sign Language may be available upon completion of the class. Register between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
