Feb. 14 marks the famous Valentineâs Day.
Some say itâs a holiday made up by card companies, while others have a different theory â that the holiday was strictly made for a day when people can express their love for one another.
Campbell High Schoolâs Student Council stuck with its annual tradition of selling carnations during lunch periods to students, staff, parents and community. White, pink and red carnations were sold, as were red roses.
White carnations represent friendship, pink represents someone special and red symbolizes love.
Carnations are usually sold for $1 every year, but this year, the Student Council wanted to mix it up a little bit. For $2, students had a chance to buy a carnation with a Dove chocolate and with a ribbon wrapped around it.
