WILTON â The High Mowing School Music Fund Scholarship Committee recently awarded five scholarships to High Mowing School students.
Recipients of the 2011-12 awards are:
Junior Zach Adinolfi, Brookline, Celtic lever harp.
Junior Fiona Graham, Wilton, harp.
Senior Christian Hoschek, Temple, viola.
Junior Hillary Renaud, Hancock, violin.
Junior Nimrod Sadeh, Wilton, cello.
Scholarships are available to young musicians to help with the cost of music lessons, summer music camp and music festival application fees.
The Sinfonietta, a community-based orchestra directed by Mark Ferguson, was also awarded a scholarship for the role it plays in community enrichment. Larger than a chamber ensemble but smaller than a full-size orchestra, the Sinfonietta offers a performance venue to students and adults in southern New Hampshire.
The High Mowing School Music Fund was established in memory of David Anderson, class of 1996. Anderson was a lover of music and a gifted cellist.
High Mowing School is a Waldorf high school for day and boarding students in Wilton.![]()
