Holiday gifts for homebound Meals on Wheels clients sought

MERRIMACK – St. Joseph Community Services, the provider of Meals on Wheels and Community Dining throughout Hillsborough County, is looking for holiday gifts for its elderly and disabled homebound clients. Members of the community who wish to contribute can do so in two ways. Donors can provide the gift of meals. One week of hot meals is $40, two weeks of hot meals is $80 and one month of meals is $173. Donors can also contribute by buying a gift. The goal is to be able to present a gift to every client in time for the holidays. Some suggested holiday gift ideas are: Personal-size hand sanitizer, unscented hand lotion, body lotion, shampoo, shower gel, soaps, facial tissues, washcloths, socks, crackers, nonperishable cheeses, cookies, chocolates, candies, tea, coffee, cocoa, coffee mug, puzzle books, blank note cards, stamps and playing cards. You may buy anything listed or you may substitute other appropriate gifts.
