Amherst’s Weber inducted into Alpha Chi honor society

Michelle Weber, of Amherst, was inducted into the Florida Theta chapter of Alpha Chi, an honor scholarship society, during a ceremony held Oct. 8 at Clearwater Christian College in Florida. At a subsequent meeting, she was elected vice president of the chapter. Alpha Chi is a national society limited to the top 10 percent of an institution’s juniors, seniors and graduate students. The organization has 300 chapters with 11,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Weber is a junior music major who was a home-school graduate. She is the daughter of James and Beth Weber, of Amherst.
