Thanks to Milford High School girls soccer fans

To the Editor: I want to thank our entire community for the tremendous support throughout our regular-season games and in our pursuit to be named Division 2 Girls Soccer state champions! Last Wednesday, we defeated No. 1-ranked Oyster River in a tight 1-0 semifinal game en route to a 2-1 win over No. 2 Souhegan High School in the championship game held at Southern New Hampshire University. If you were there to experience this piece of Milford’s history, it was a sight to behold, with the unmatched and awe-inspiring number of fans who were there to cheer us on. Not only that, but the police and fire escort that led us around the Oval, the fans who were cheering us on the whole way and the pizza party put on by our A.D., Marc Maurais, made the night even more memorable for our team. As incredible and surreal as the experience was, it was no surprise for us.
