WASHINGTON â Justin Danhof, general counsel of the National Center for Public Policy Research, was named the new director of the of National Centerâs Free Enterprise Project.
Danhof, who grew up in Nashua is responsible for planning and coordinating the organizationâs work to combat crony capitalism, corporate rent-seeking and the misguided support of left-wing interest groups by big business.
âWe are very pleased to have Justin Danhof taking the helm of the Free Enterprise Project,â said Amy Ridenour, chairman of the National Center. âJustin has already been a very successful shareholder advocate, promoting free enterprise and going toe-to-toe with corporate CEOs on behalf of the National Center at more than a dozen shareholder meetings. His work at the meetings, and in very many media appearances about them, has been exemplary.â
Danhof has served as the National Centerâs general counsel since 2010.
âI plan to continue the National Centerâs distinguished record of Free Enterprise Project success stories,â Danhof said. âCorporate titans who run publicly traded companies tend to see themselves as above reproach, which is why itâs good to remind them that shareholders are the true owners of public companies.
âWhen we see a company acting against its best interests and the interests of its shareholders, such as when companies have embraced ObamaCare and cap-and-trade for perceived political accommodation, the National Centerâs Free Enterprise Project will be there to rein them in.
