Holiday is time to remember our troops

It’s that time of year again – the most holy and joyous time. It is a time when all families would like to be together but due to our mobile society, families are spread across the nation. In my family, I have a daughter in California, another daughter in Florida, and my brothers and their families are in Virginia and Arizona. So there are a lot of phone calls during the Christmas season. As I am thinking about this I am thinking about our service personnel serving across the world (we have military personnel in more than 100 countries). Remember, for every service member overseas, there are family and friends back in the states. Back in the 1960s when I was overseas, I just loved getting letters and packages from home. My wife used to send perfumed letters (sprayed with the perfume she wore).
