Visitors flock to New England on Columbus Day weekend to view the fall foliage at its peak. For the past 30 years in Nashua, they have also come to play soccer against this brilliant autumn backdrop.
For many teams, it is a tradition to return year after year to play in the Nashua World Cup Columbus Day Tournament. This year was no exception, with 220 teams from all over New England and Canada arriving to compete in this annual premier soccer tournament. In fact, some coaches remember playing in Nashua World Cupâs tournament when they were kids.
This event consistently brings in thousands of visitors to the Nashua area each year, injecting several million dollars into the local economy.
