While most of America was in a hustle-bustle of activity considering who the leader of the free world would be, the seniors in Nashua schools were deliberating the life decision of what they would do after high school.
On Monday night, Nashua High School South held a college fair in the gymnasium, where more than 150 colleges and organizations set up booths stocked with an abundance of brochures and pamphlets to present themselves to prospective students.
âI was shocked by the quantity of colleges represented,â South senior Teja Karri said. âWhile most of them were from New England, there were schools from as far as Florida and Pennsylvania.
âItâs overwhelming to consider how much college costs, but of the schools represented, there were some of the more affordable options I wouldnât ordinarily have taken the time to look at. It helped me give those colleges a shot.â
âWhere the fair really stood out was all the information on financial aid,â South senior Sara Haque said. âI received a comprehensive overview of basically everything Iâd need to know, from a thorough description of the FAFSA forms to a timeline of what I should be doing to receive aid and information on the different types of financial aid available.â
