BAE Systems donates to Harbor Homes’ Veterans FIRST Housing

NASHUA – BAE Systems has donated $150,000 toward the construction of Harbor Homes’ newest Veterans FIRST housing facility for homeless veterans and their families. Through this donation, BAE will be given the opportunity to name the facility at its grand opening in spring 2013. Once complete, 26 homeless veterans and their families will gain access to one and two-bedroom transitional living and permanent supportive housing units within a brand new three story building. While residing in the facility, veterans receive case management, dedicated transportation, employment services, and other supportive services customized to meet the unique needs of each household. Working closely with the Manchester VA Medical Center and other health and human service providers, veterans typically graduate from the program in two years or less, moving onto independent, sustainable living.
