The New Hampshire Federation of Blues Enthusiasts â or Blues Club, as itâs commonly known â is a group of students who seek to bring more music to Campbell High School.
The Blues Club originated last year, when Jordan Lang, now a junior; Kian Fuertes, now a sophomore; and Matt Phillips and Chuck Neild, now seniors, began playing some of their favorite classic blues and rock songs in the main lobby after school. Teachers often remarked that it was both interesting and enjoyable to hear the music upon leaving for the day.
Most Fridays, the boys would assemble at the doors of Campbell High and begin playing a variety of songs ranging from classics of the 1940s and â50s to modern alternative rock. It was really an effort to perform in front of people and an opportunity to practice their craft.
Upon returning to Campbell this fall, the Blues Club continued, but this time as a more organized entity. Librarian Andrea Ange had assumed the role of club supervisor.
The group also formed the name New Hampshire Federation of Blues Enthusiasts, and Neild and Phillips were deemed co-presidents.
