Hollis dentist provides free care in Dominican

HOLLIS – Dr. Arthur Lyford, of Hollis, participated with the American Dental Implants Association’s mission to bring oral and dental health care to the under-served all over the world. Lyford recently traveled to the Dominican Republic and provided more than $200,000 worth of free care to the underprivileged. He also provided his own flight, hotel, supplies, materials and all other costs associated with the program. Basic oral health care in these communities is severally lacking. Dental implant care is well beyond the reach of many in the population.
