Imagine spending half an hour every day with a group of strangers. Over a year, you would probably get to know each other pretty well.
This is what the advisory program at Souhegan High School is like.
One unique aspect of SHS is how it does advisory. Each student meets every day with his or her advisory, which is made up of one teacher and eight to 10 students.
The group does various activities, which can include ordering food, playing games, getting a start on homework or just talking about the interesting things in our lives.
âAdvisory is a very needed break in the middle of the day,â junior Aislinn Evans said. âIt lets you relax and rest your mind.â
âI like how advisory is a chance to make new friends with people you might not usually hang out with,â freshman Aaron Boyd said.
