NASHUA – October is National Bullying Prevention Month and The Nashua Transit System, in collaboration with the 21st Century After School Program in Nashua, announces its first Bullying Prevention Poster Contest. The contest is open to Nashua students in the 21st Century After School Program. The theme is “Put the Brakes on Bullying.” This an opportunity to use the open areas inside city buses and the transit center to get the word out for a good cause, but it is a fun and creative opportunity for students to turn peer pressure around through a positive message that bullying doesn’t have to be a part of their activities. Using buses that cover a large portion of the city recognizes students for their creativity in raising awareness about this prevalent and ongoing issue. Posters will be displayed on the Nashua city buses and will be judged based on artistry, creativity, originality, and their ability to communicate a clear and positive message to remain bully-free.
