Theater Troupe helps raise awareness about mental illness

To mark Mental Illness Awareness Week, Greater Nashua Mental Health Center at Community Council is presenting the Second Step Players on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m., at Nashua Community College’s Judd Gregg Hall Auditorium. The Second Step Players performed in Nashua two years ago and return for a repeat performance to help combat the stigma around, and raise awareness about the realities of living with mental illness. Since 1985, the Second Step Players theater troupe has created and performed stigma-busting comedy nationwide about mental health issues. The highly acclaimed group of actors is comprised of people who have psychiatric disorders and addictions.
