MANCHESTER – Who doesn’t like a great tasting, good-looking cupcake? On Friday, Oct. 26, you’re invited to sample some of the best in the area as the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) holds the first “Clash of the Cupcakes” at Southern New Hampshire University’s Hospitality Center. The fundraiser features six teams of local professional bakers and six teams of student bakers, each competing to earn the title “Best Cupcake 2012” in their category. Those attending will vote to select a “People’s Choice” winner from among the professionals and the students. Professional bakers scheduled to compete are Queen City Cupcakes, of Manchester; Who You Callin’ Cupcake, of Salem; Cupcake Conspiracy, of Merrimack; Cupcakes 101, of Bedford; O’Sugar! Cakery, of Seabrook; and Gone Baking, of Bedford. The evening features a three-course meal prepared and served by students from the University’s Culinary Arts Program. Dessert will be cupcakes.
