NASHUA â Inspired by the growing list of returning and first-time volunteers, organizers of the upcoming fifth annual Sullivan Farm Applefest say they have a great shot at topping last yearâs record of $32,700 in proceeds, which help fund the programs and services provided by the Salvation Army of Greater Nashua.
In addition to a robust turnout for volunteer signups, lead organizer Tom Jenkins, a member of the Salvation Army advisory board, said a record number of sponsors also have jumped aboard this year.
âItâs the most ever,â Jenkins said. âWithout their help and all the volunteers who come out, we couldnât do it.
