Bishop Guertin introduces longer, eight-period day

Bishop Guertin High  School has finally introduced a new schedule revolving around eight periods instead of the previous seven. BG had discussed implementing this system in 2011, but there wasn’t enough time to put the plan into practice. The old schedule had to be reformed so Bishop Guertin would meet state requirements for hours in school. Thus, the administration had to lengthen the school day to fit these demands. The school day now starts earlier and ends later – a disappointment to all BG students. The day starts at 7:45 a.m.
