The Pelham Parks and Recreation program with USTA instructor Phyllis Morris held its youth tennis tournament at Pelham High School tennis courts recently. Children participated in lessons three mornings a week in July, ending with the tournament.
The winners are:
Match Play girls 12 and younger:
First place, Amira Eid; second place, Lauren Foley; and third place, Divya Madhavaiya.
Match Play boys 12 and younger:
First place, Jacob Dahlinger; second place, Simon Daigle; and third place, Jake Kirsch.
50 ball toss girls ages 9-12:
First place, Julia Vawter; second place, Alivia Gervais; and third place, Adrianna Ray.
50 ball toss boys ages 9-12:
First place, Ethan Joncas; second place, Nicholas Valerio; and third place, Rami Eid.
50 ball toss girls ages 7 and 8:
First place, Brook Contarino; second place, Jessica Daigle; and third place, Madeline Beaton.
