Until they passed away in 2011, Jane and William Conway had spent most of their lives donating time and money to help make Nashua a better place for the community. “We were reminded again and again in the months that followed the passing of both Jane and Bill, of the tremendous impact they, and their children, have had on our community,” said Bridget Cooley, director of marketing and special events at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua. Each year, the Conways supported the Boys & Girls Club making sure each child has nutritional food to eat every day. On the club’s 25th annual Holiday Auction, the Conway children established the Conway Family Food and Nutrition Fund to guarantee every child is fed properly, Cooley said. The Conways’ daughter, Mary Jane King, said they were, “quietly charitable,” until the last five or 10 years when they became more public about their donations. “They hoped it would help inspire others to give,” King said.
