Hudson club among NH award recipients at national convention

Two New Hampshire officers collected 10 national awards at the General Federation of Women’s Clubs International Convention on June 14 in Charlotte, N.C. Outgoing state officers Nancy Greenberg, of Londonderry, the GFWC-NH president, and Denise Raisanen, of Exeter, director of Junior Clubs, collected the awards for New Hampshire club women’s volunteer activities in Membership, Leadership, CIC, the Jennie Award, Junior Special Projects – Advocates for Children, Public Issues Partnership and Home Life Collaboration. The Hudson club received special recognition at the convention. Linda Kipnes, of Hudson, was presented with the Jennie Award for the Northeast Region. The award honors individuals for service to their communities and beyond. The GFWC Hudson Community Women’s Club teamed up with the GFWC Hudson Junior Women’s Club to win a second-place award for their community improvement project.
