Campbell’s Gray attends Granite Girls State

Nicole Gray, a student at Campbell High School in Litchfield, was selected by the American Legion Auxiliary to attend Granite Girls State, held June 24-30. Gray met about 50 other students from communities throughout New Hampshire who also were selected. Granite Girls State is a mythical state patterned after New Hampshire that follows New Hampshire government procedure as closely as possible. The American Legion Auxiliary program is for girls who have completed their junior year of high school. The girls learned firsthand how the state and their local town or city government works. Granite Girls State was held at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge.
